Subhumans - Live In A Dive
The Subhumans have been going a long time, so you'd expect their live set to be full of tight, fast numbers, and you'd be right. Offering some classic melodic punk, all with easily sing-along hooks, you cannot go wrong with this CD, either as an introduction to the band or as a compliment to your collection if youre a fan. The band rip through 24 songs in just over an hour, with little pause between songs, just a constant barrage of some of the finest punk rock to ever come out of the UK.
The only critiscism I can throw at this is that there is little variety in the tunes, and very few stand out. Having said that, if the Subhumans are your sort of band you cannot go wrong. I would say this CD is definetly worth a purchase, as it races through the back-catalogue of one of the UK's most seminal punk bands at the rate of knots, barely leaving you for breath.
